SUMMER & BREAK CAMPS
About
Common Threads Farm offers school-break and summer camp programs for students across Whatcom County, in partnership with schools and community organizations. Campers spend their days exploring the garden ecosystem, completing STEM projects and experiments, harvesting and cooking food together, and engaging in creative activities. Through hands-on, garden-based learning, students discover insects, gardening, and foods from around the world.
Impact
Our camps are more than fun—they’re transformative learning experiences. Through garden exploration and hands-on projects, campers build curiosity, strengthen STEM skills, and deepen their understanding of how the garden fosters community. Along the way, they gain scientific knowledge, try new foods, and grow confidence in their ability to learn and explore.
A sample camp schedule is included below and may be subject to change.
