Recommended materials: Large bowl, small bowl, knife, peeler (or knife), cutting board, measuring spoons (or one big spoon and one small spoon), masher (or fork).
This recipe makes roughly 6 hummus in a blankets.
Ingredients:
- 6 leaves, kale or another leafy green
- 1-2 root vegetables, like carrots or parsnips (peeled or cut into strips)
- 1 can garbanzo beans
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 TBSP olive oil
- 1-2 TBSP lemon juice
- ¾ tsp salt
- ½ tsp cumin
- 1 tsp curry powder
Directions:
- Wash hands.
- Open the can of garbanzo beans and drain liquid. Put beans into a large bowl and mash or use a blender until creamy.
- Measure olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and cumin into a small bowl and mix well.
- Add mixture from the small bowl to mashed beans and mix well.
- Add minced garlic to bean mixture and mix.
- Put half of the hummus into a small bowl. Measure curry powder and mix. Set aside.
- Peel or cut carrot and parsnip into ribbons.
- Fill kale or chard leaf with a small scoop of regular or curried hummus and root veggie ribbons.

Ingredientes:
- 1 lata de garbanzo mediana
- 1 diente de ajo (picar finamente)
- 1 cucharada de aceite de oliva
- 1-2 cucharada de jugo de limón amarillo
- 3⁄4 cucharadita (cdta) de sal
- 1⁄2 cdta comino molido
- 1 cdta polvo de curry
- 6 hojas de col rizada o acelga
- 1-2 zanahorias y chirivías
Direcciones:
- Lava las manos.
- Abrir la lata y escurrir el líquido. Vaciar los garbanzos ya escurridos en un tazón grande y machacar hasta hacer un puré.
- Mezclar los ingredientes uno a uno sin dejar de batir: el aceite, el jugo, la sal, y el comino.
- Picar el ajo y mézclalos en el puré.
- Poner la mitad del puré en un tazón y agregar el curry.
- Rallar las zanahorias en cintas.
- Enrollar las hojas de col rizada con las cintas de zanahoria y puré.
